According to the indictment, Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy knew Mr. Do Truong Son (born in 1972), residing in Tho Xuong ward (Bac Giang city). Thuy Lie works in the banking industry, knows many leaders, and has helped a number of businesses in the Central region get preferential loans.
At the same time, Mr. Son knew Mr. Hoang Van Thi (born in 1979), residing in My Thai commune (Lang Giang), who was the Director of My Thai Investment Joint Stock Company, mainly operating in the field of construction and leveling. fill the ground.
In early 2020, Mr. Thi’s company needed capital to operate, so it contacted Thuy to ask for a loan of 110 billion VND. Thuy promised to help the company borrow capital at preferential interest rates from the Ministry of Finance, with a long loan term (20 years). Mr. Thi thought it was true, so he agreed that if he could help, he would pay Thuy a commission of 2% of the total loan amount.
After reaching agreement, Thuy called many times to ask Mr. Thi to transfer money to her as a gift and to meet with leaders of the Ministry of Finance. During the period from April 6, 2020 to March 26, 2021, Mr. Thi transferred a total of more than 1.6 billion VND to Thuy many times.
After receiving the money, Thuy appropriated it and used it to buy an apartment and spent it all. By the time of trial, Thuy had not compensated the victim.
Defendant Thuy’s behavior is a particularly serious crime, using deceitful tricks to appropriate other people’s property.
Based on the criminal act and the results of the arguments at the trial, the Trial Council decided to sentence Thuy to 13 years in prison and at the same time forced the defendant to compensate all property appropriated to the victim.
