“I’m lucky to be alive”: Halsey reveals serious illnesses and shares this moving message

NEW YORK (AP) — Halsey has privately struggled to improve her health, the singer revealed Tuesday.

The artist shared the news on Instagram in a series of videos that appear to document the singer receiving treatment in a hospital.

“Simply put, I’m lucky to be alive,” she wrote in the caption. “Simply put, I wrote an album.”

His diagnosis was not immediately clear. The Associated Press sent messages to Halsey’s representatives for more details without receiving a response.

“I feel like an old woman,” Halsey says out loud in the first video, while rubbing her legs in apparent pain. “I told myself I would give myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m going to have a rebirth and I’m not going to be sick and I’m going to look super sexy and have a lot of energy and I’m going to do my 20s again.” at 30.”

The singer also released a new song on Tuesday, an acoustic guitar ballad titled “The End.”

Her new album on the horizon will arrive after her fourth studio album, 2021’s ambitious “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” produced by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

According to a press release, in conjunction with the release of “The End” Halsey will make donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as the Lupus Research Alliance, leukemia and lymphoma organizations and lupus research, respectively.

In 2022, Halsey shared on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, known as MCAS, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, known as POTS.

This Wednesday, the singer of “Closer” together with The Chainsmokers published a message on Instagram in which she details her sufferings, in addition to thanking the reception of her most recent song.

“Thank you all for the incredible amount of love for ‘The End’ and the support you have shown me since its release. I realize everyone is catching up on news I’ve been keeping for a long time and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share. Everyone has been very kind, so I want to share a little more.

“In 2022, I was first diagnosed with lupus SLE and then with a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both are currently under control or in remission; and both I will probably have throughout my life.

“After a difficult start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After 2 years, I feel better and am more grateful than ever to have music to turn to. “I can’t wait to get back to where I belong: with all of you, singing and screaming my heart out,” concludes the “Without Me” singer.
