“Thank God, this Ramadan 1445 H, we, the Ikawiga family together with BRI Peduli, are once again holding an iftar together in the context of friendship and compensation with orphans, poor people and social workers,” said Ikawiga Chairman Muhammad Supriyadi.
“The compensation and gifts given to them are nothing more than a form of Ikawiga’s concern,” he added.
According to him, Ikawiga continues to strive to be directly involved in helping reduce the burden on society.
“Ikawiga is committed to accompanying and assisting in the social and welfare sectors of society, especially in Greater Malang,” he said.
Furthermore, according to Supriyadi, fasting is a worship that has vertical and horizontal relationships. In Islamic rules, he said, the term hablun minallah wa hablun minannas is known. On the one hand, fasting is a form of worship to foster obedience to God, and on the other hand, fasting also has an egalitarian principle in society.
“Fasting has moral values and social responsibility. Zakat, infaq and alms, for example, have wisdom in eradicating egoism, stinginess and alleviating poverty. Therefore, the Ikawiga fasting and charity agenda is not far from these principles,” explained Supriyadi.
Ramadan fasting, he continued, is also a sign of social sensitivity to help the surrounding community. Social problems in society are a serious concern for Ikawiga, especially in terms of supporting their welfare figures.
“This fasting is the momentum,” he said.
