Idriss Al-Rukh tries directing a police series

Moroccan actor and director Idriss Roukh is preparing to embark on a new experience in the world of directing, after his brilliance in previous dramatic and cinematic works.

It is expected that Al-Rukh will begin filming scenes for a new television series, a police series that will be shown on the “Al-Oula” channel’s programming. It is produced by “Sigma” Company. The city of Casablanca, Dar Bouazza, and Mohammedia have chosen the filming locations.

According to available data, this new series, which has a police character, consists of only 8 episodes, each of which will revolve around different events and heroes.

The same data indicated that this police series will witness the participation of a group of the most famous Moroccan artists; headed by Saida Baadi, Mohamed El Kafi, Hasnaa El Tamtawi, Rafiq Boubaker, Salma Salah El Din, Fatima Zahra Kanbou, Nabil Atef, Yasser El Maghari, and others.

The makers of this work, which falls under the category of short series, refused to reveal the details of its story at the present time, in order to ensure an element of suspense for the audience.

In another context, Idriss Al-Rukh is also expected to supervise the direction of a social drama series consisting of 30 episodes that he will participate in the upcoming Ramadan race, similar to a group of previous works that he has captured attention with in previous seasons.

The same artist is also preparing to enhance Moroccan cinemas with a new film entitled “Al Watra”, which is a feature film whose scenes were filmed at the end of last year between the cities of Mohammedia and Casablanca.

According to its director, the film “Al Watra” tells the story of a folk artist called “Shuaiba” who came from the desert with his wife and son. He thought he would settle in the city, but he finds himself in a tin shack with a relative who works as a drug baron, living his life at night and dealing in contraband with his men. As events develop, the latter exploits his innocence and art, and directs someone at him who makes him addicted to alcohol and his condition deteriorates. Then events unfold, and the baron divorces him from his wife, marries her, and takes his son from him. The folk artist’s life turns into hell.
