IDF destroyed half of Iran’s missile launchers

Benjamin Netanyahu’s Affirmation

He Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the public broadcaster Kan that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have destroyed “more than half” of Iran’s missile launchers. “We are attacking their launchers; I think we have already surpassed half of what they have,” declared the premier in the context of the seventh day of an unprecedented direct offensive between both countries.

This assessment comes after the publication of an official estimate by the IDF, which yesterday placed the proportion of Iranian launchers neutralized at around 40%. Netanyahu stressed that the number of rockets in Iran’s possession is less relevant than the number of operational launchers and assured that these Israeli precision attacks “change the face of the world,” not just the Middle East.

The head of government made it clear that Israel can attack all of Iran’s nuclear facilities, including underground sites such as the Fordo nuclear facility, located under a mountain and considered out of reach of conventional bombs except the American “bunker buster” type. Regarding a possible direct intervention by the United States, Netanyahu stressed: “All help is welcome,” although he assured that Israel “has the capacity to hit all” Iranian nuclear facilities.

In relation to the conflict with Iran, Netanyahu maintained that the war will “accelerate” the return of Israeli hostages who remain in the Gaza Strip, in the hands of Hamas and other Palestinian militias.
