The electric ID.Buzz has a beautiful retro design, offers enormous interior space, has good autonomy and reasonable consumption. However, one thing was missing: the ability to use the surprisingly large space for modifications that would transform it into a camper. Volkswagen, although it has a lot of experience with such conversions, is a bit hesitant about this, but was represented by the Dutch company Outbase – and in our opinion very well. after all, judge for yourself based on the photos.
The company, in collaboration with specialized partners, has developed especially for ID.Buzz a tailor-made sofa bed (folding with one click), swivel front seats, retractable awning and lifting roof with the possibility of sleeping in the upper part. . Furthermore, sustainable and ecological materials such as cork, sheep’s wool, wool felt, hemp, recycled PET bottles, organic cotton and recycled textile fibers were used during the reconstruction.

Storage spaces are located in the floor, under the sofa bed, under the front seats and in the side walls of the car. In the rear there is enough space for complete camping equipment. The accommodation is designed for four people, or with smaller children it can sleep six.
