Police arrested artists Ibra Azhari or IBR (53) and NN alias NDY (52) in connection with drug possession. The police have officially named them both as suspects.
West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner M Syahduddi said Ibra Azhari and NN were arrested while using drugs with their girlfriend, NDY, in an apartment in the Ciputat area, south of Tangerang. The suspects were charged with multiple crimes.
“The suspects IBR and NDY are charged pursuant to Article 114 paragraph 1 subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph 1 arrived “Article 132 paragraph 1 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotic Drugs,” Commissioner Syahduddi at the West Jakarta Police said on Monday (8/1/2024).
IBR and NDY face life imprisonment. Both also face a fine of 8 billion rupees.
“(There is a risk of) life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years and a maximum fine referred to in paragraph 1, namely IDR 8 billion,” he added.
Police opened a case and arrested 2 more people with initials ADR and RIZ. Another person with the initials ERL was declared a fugitive and included in the wanted list (DPO).
It is known that the police arrested Ibra Azhari in connection with a case of crystal methamphetamine use. It is known that Ibra Azhari was arrested several times by the authorities for similar cases.
The police are now developing the case of methamphetamine Ibra Azhari. The police arrested Ibra on Wednesday evening (3/1).
“Yes, it’s true, we arrested someone public figure with the initials IA (Ibra Azhari) on Wednesday evening,” West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner M Syahduddi told detikcomFriday (5/1).
