The Supreme Court made a decision on the criminal case of former deputy Huseyn Abdullayev.
Publika.az informs that the cassation appeal of the victim Emin Bagirov, whose property was seized from the former deputy’s father, was considered at the meeting chaired by judge Nazim Movsumov.
The complaint filed by the victim was not satisfied.
It should be noted that the victim E. Bagirov bought real estate from H. Abdullayev’s father on the basis of a power of attorney in 2008. According to the decision of the court, that property was seized in the criminal case of the former deputy. The injured party filed an appeal, but because it was not satisfied, he appealed to the Supreme Court.
It should be recalled that in October 2019, the Baku Military Court held a trial on the criminal case of former deputy Huseyn Abdullayev, his mother Zeynab Abdullayeva, Habib Ibrahimov, Khalid Aliyev, Namig Babayev, Intigam Suleymanov, Parviz Kazimov, Zaur Guliyev and Nazim Aliyev.
The former deputy was charged with extortion, illegal entrepreneurship, legalization of money or other property obtained through crime, and other acts.
28 people were identified as victims in the case.
According to the verdict, H.Abdullayev was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
