The digitalization solution for medical technology focuses on pathology and medical imaging. The solution has three competitive advantages: SmartCache, the intelligent pre-reading that improves the efficiency of reading the images and has no latency when retrieving the data, the compression algorithm developed by Huawei that saves 30% storage space and 70% cabinet space, and the video network synergy that supports consistent remote diagnosis to promote hierarchical diagnosis and treatment.
This solution has already been used in many healthcare facilities around the world. Huawei helped Ruijin Hospital build a digital intelligent pathology department that enables simultaneous access to more than 1,000 pathological slides within one second. This increased the retrieval speed by 80 times. Huawei helped the Longgang District Health Department in Shenzhen build a regional medical imaging platform. The platform supports the networking and exchange of medical image data between 12 hospitals, access to image reports at the click of a mouse and the mutual recognition of cross-hospital examinations.
