How to update your data in Libyan banks to ensure obtaining allocations for personal purposes

During the past few days, a number of Libyan banks called on their customers to update the personal data of their accounts to facilitate the procedures for charging customers’ personal item allocations and avoid delays in completing the procedures for obtaining the service immediately after the launch of the system by the Central Bank of Libya.

North African Bank:

North African Bank announced that it has identified 3 ways for its customers to update the data on the personal items card.

He said that you can now update the data for the personal items card via one of the following methods: (by visiting your banking branch, via the NAB Mobile application, via text message 18888).

  • (Through the bank branch)
    -Go to the branch and fill out the KYC form
  • (Through NAB Mobile application)

-You must log in to the application
-Click on My Account at the bottom of the list
-Choose personal data
-Fill out all the required data and click Save Changes

  • (Through text messages 18888)

-Send an SMS text message to 18888 containing:
(#account number#national number#passport number)
-It must be sent from the phone number linked to the national number.

Republic Bank:

Jumhouria Bank notes to the bank’s customers the need to update your bank account information.

The Republic Bank pointed out that the update is through sending a text message to 15051 in order to ensure the reservation of foreign currency for personal purposes immediately after the launch of the Central Bank of Libya system.

1- The account number must be sent, consisting of 15 digits.
2- The national number must be sent, consisting of 12 digits.
3- The passport must be valid.
4- The phone number must be linked to the national number.

Sahara Bank

To update your account information, please follow the following steps by sending a text message in the following format:-

  • {* Phone number * National number * Passport number * 100}.
    Send it to the number {15005}, and the customer will receive a message.
    (Your data has been added successfully.)

The phone number is linked to the national number.
The passport must be valid.

Trade and Development Bank

The Bank of Commerce and Development noted to customers the importance of updating your personal information regarding your bank accounts by logging in via the Wabs service, clicking on the “Update Data” button, and following the steps.

According to the Bank of Trade and Development, updating your personal data is an important and essential step for completing foreign exchange purchases for personal purposes and documentary credits according to the instructions of the Central Bank of Libya.

  • Data to be updated:
  • the ID number.
  • The mobile phone number linked to the national number.
  • Valid passport number.
  • IBAN code – IBAN.

National Commercial Bank

1- National number
2- A valid passport number
3- The phone number linked to the national number

Safety bank

You can now benefit from the new service currently available to update your data by sending an SMS to the number 14000.

Steps:

The bank pointed out that upon receiving the matching data message, you will be automatically responded to with a message containing your account number and the international bank account number (IBAN), and you will be assured of continuing the registration and reservation process on the Central Bank of Libya system.
