Champaran Handi Jackfruit Recipe:
Material
500 grams jackfruit
5 onions
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
2 finely chopped tomatoes
5-6 green chillies
salt as per taste
half teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon red chilli powder
2 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
half spoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin
1 bay leaf
2 cardamoms
1 large cardamom
4 cloves
2 cups mustard oil
3 spoons ghee
2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander
method of making
To make Champaran Handi jackfruit, first apply mustard oil on your hands and cut the jackfruit.
Then wash it with water and keep it in a bowl. Now soak dry red chillies in a bowl on the side.
Then add long chopped onions, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt in this bowl and mix.
Now prepare the paste of soaked red chilli. Then add this paste to jackfruit and mix.
After this, add 1 cup mustard oil in a ladle and heat it.
Then add this hot oil to the jackfruit and mix it well.
Now keep the marinated jackfruit covered with a lid for 30 minutes.
After this, heat an earthen pot on the gas.
When it becomes hot, add half a cup of desi ghee in it. When the ghee becomes hot, add cumin, bay leaves, cardamom, cloves and black cardamom.
Then add marinated jackfruit in it. After this, knead the flour in a bowl. Then put a lid on the handi and then seal it around the handi with the dough ball.
Now cook the jackfruit on low flame for 30 minutes. Turn off the gas after 30 minutes.
Then add half spoon garam masala and finely chopped green coriander leaves and mix.
Champaran Handi Jackfruit is ready. You serve it with rice, paratha and puri.
