Cashiers in supermarkets or any other type of sector are included in the category of commercial employees, who in August will receive a new increase in their salaries. All of this is the result of the collective bargaining agreement that obtained a total increase of 13.5%, with 4.5% for the salary that is paid in the eighth month of the year.
The negotiation included a 13.5% increase to be distributed over three months: 5% starting in June; 4.5% starting in July, to be paid in August; and 4% starting in August 2024, according to the agreement signed by the Argentine Federation of Commerce and Service Employees (Faecys), together with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Confederation of Medium-Sized Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Commercial Entities (Udeca).

The negotiation also indicates that the non-remunerative increases granted in January and February 2024, at their nominal value, will be incorporated into the basic terms of the agreement “starting in September and in three equal, monthly and consecutive installments (September, October and November 2024). There will be a new meeting in September.
