Following the conclusion of the collective bargaining agreements, the updated salary scale for the different categories of private security personnel is now available. Workers will have to consult their regional union to verify the exact amount according to the level to which they correspond.

Among the categories that have seen their salaries updated are security guards, shift managers, alarm supervisors, investigators and others.
The negotiations took place between the two federations that group together the different regional unions in this sector in the country – the Union of Security Personnel of the Argentine Republic (Upsra) and the Argentine Federation of Private Security Workers (Fatrasep) – with the Argentine Chamber of Security Companies (Caesi).
How much does a private security worker earn in July 2024?
For workers grouped in Fatrasep
According to the newspaper La Nación, the first collective bargaining agreement for private security workers was reached between Fatrasep and CAESI. This federation brings together the Union of Private Security Guards and Investigators of Tucumán (Sivisep), the Single Union of Commercial, Industrial Security Surveillance and Private Investigations of Córdoba (Suvico), the Upsap (Union of Private Security Personnel and related of Argentina) of Santa Cruz and Patagonia and the Uesevi (Union of Security and Surveillance Employees) of Rosario.
In this case, the signing of the new amounts includes July but also August. For the seventh month of the year, the federation established a minimum wage of $1,014,000. On the other hand, in August the minimum wage is set at $1,090,000. Fatrasep maintained that a revision clause was established at the request of any of the parties, and that each regional union has the corresponding schedule for its members.
For workers grouped in Upsra
Upsra spoke of a “significant salary increase in private security” that also extends to August. Although to know the updated schedules it is necessary to consult directly with the corresponding local union, they placed the general security guard category as a witness with a gross total of $738,000 in July, including the additional for attendance. For August, this salary floor, which also includes the additional for attendance, is at $760,000.
They also highlighted the increase obtained in various additional costs, such as vacation and airport costs, among others, common to all categories, as well as the additional cost for travel expenses. The latter will amount to $276,000 for the month of July, and $330,000 for the month of August.
