During the National Day holiday on September 2 this year, workers will have 4 consecutive days off, and accordingly, the holiday schedule for students at all levels across the country will also be arranged accordingly.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs announced that on the occasion of National Day, September 2 this year, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations and socio-political organizations will have a day off from Saturday (August 31) to Tuesday (September 3).
This holiday includes 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekly days off. Thus, civil servants and public employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have a maximum of 4 days off.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the holidays and Tet holidays of the year are according to the regulations of the State. Therefore, students of all levels in 63 provinces and cities also have 4 consecutive days off for September 2nd. In particular, secondary and high schools have a regular Saturday schedule so they have 3 days off.
The National Day holiday schedule for students can be adjusted based on the specific situation and conditions of each unit and educational institution.
Many middle and high schools have decided to give students four consecutive days off, starting Saturday (August 31) to accommodate family schedules, then organize make-up classes the following week.
Therefore, students in different provinces and cities may have different National Day holiday schedules depending on the decision of the school or educational institution they are attending.
During the long holiday, many localities require schools and educational institutions to strictly implement security and protection duties; closely coordinate with local police to take necessary measures to ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment, and fire prevention.
Schools need to propagate, educate, and deploy to students to practice a civilized and elegant lifestyle, maintain social order and safety, traffic safety; not participate in racing or encourage illegal racing.
After the holiday, units and schools need to immediately stabilize order, ensure activities are on schedule according to regulations and instructions and directions of the Education sector.
According to the 2024-2025 school year schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, many schools will hold the opening ceremony on September 5, right after the holiday ends.
