On the occasion of April 30 – May 1 this year, students in Hanoi city have 5 consecutive days off, starting from April 27 to May 1.
Information is sent by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to the Departments of Education and Training, units and schools in the city.
Accordingly, on the holiday of April 30 – May 1, 2024, officials, teachers, and students of schools will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27 to Wednesday, May 1. Last year, because the Hung King’s death anniversary was close to April 30 – May 1, Hanoi students also had the same number of days off.
Due to the change of working day on Monday (April 29), units and schools carry out make-up teaching on Saturday (May 4). Units that do not take off every Saturday or Sunday must base on the unit’s specific plan to arrange a suitable and prescribed holiday schedule.
During the holiday period, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training strictly prohibits students from participating in racing or encouraging illegal racing. Students strictly follow the code of conduct in public places.
The Department of Education and Training also requires schools to display the national flag; Well implement disease prevention and control according to local directions.
Schools need to seriously implement school duty and security during the 5-day break. In addition, closely coordinate with local police to take necessary measures to ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment, and fire and explosion prevention.
According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training, after the holiday, Hanoi students will study 1 month before the end of the 2023-2024 school year on May 31 and officially take a summer break from June 1.
