They are served a double portion of their favorite series, in the middle of the season. A so-called midseason finale has been around for six years with the competing colleagues of Familie, but now they are also doing it at Thuis.

Bobs ‘bittersweet goodbye’

That special episode will largely focus on the character Bob. It was previously announced that actor Christophe Haddad is leaving the series Thuis after nine years. His character has cancer again and this time it cannot be cured. He is gradually preparing his farewell and would like to make something beautiful of it with his ex-wife Tamara, best friend Lowie and all the other people he loves.

Unfortunately, there is one bitter touch in this story: Bob cannot count on Christine and Adil’s understanding. Christine hatches a plan and doesn’t believe Bob’s diagnosis. Is Bob really lying about his illness? And is he planning something with his son Leo?

Super exciting double episode

The fans are already on the edge of their seats and are speculating wildly online. There is a lot to tell, and the makers of Thuis were not told in one episode of over 20 minutes. “In the more than ten years that we have been writing for Thuis with this screenwriting team, it has almost never happened that we have a double episode in the middle of a season. The storyline is now just so exciting that we needed more than the usual 20 minutes to deliver it,” says main screenwriter Stef Wouters.
