Hit to smuggling amounts to USD 14 million in the first half of April, they report

ASSUMPTION. The National Tax Revenue Directorate (DNIT) disclosed the results of the efforts carried out in the fight against smuggling and determined that the hit, in terms of value, amounts to USD 14 million.

The head of the institution, Óscar Orué, stated that they will continue to be relentless with the fight, and highlighted the support of the Presidency of the Republic.

The report reflects that at the end of April 18 of this year, taking into account August of the previous year, the beginning of the new Government, the institution managed to seize contraband products worth G. 100,487,313,400, equivalent to more than USD 14.3 million in damage to this scourge.

Orué, who shared the report with representatives and authorities of the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP), maintained that they seek to generate trust with citizens and unions, in such a way as to share about the opportunities that exist to import, pay taxes and regimes that are in force for minor purchases in both Argentina and Brazil.
