High temperatures due to heat wave will continue this Wednesday

Yesterday, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) issued arrest warrants for 31 individuals involved in various crimes and related to common crime structures or gang groups.

Among the crimes that these subjects are accused of are: fraud, extortion, homicide, disappearance of people, attempted homicide, serious injuries and serious threats. The crimes have been committed in various areas of El Salvador.

Among those detained were Nelson José Cruz Aguilar, Elí Alexander Mendoza and Carlos Antonio Cruz Rodríguez, who are accused of having disappeared a person who refused to be part of their gang group.

According to the tax investigation, these subjects intercepted the victim while he was in a location in the San Rafael Obrajuelo sector, and then transferred him to an isolated place. Authorities are still continuing the investigation into this case.

Other detainees, identified as Rembert Antonio Valladares Portillo, José Samuel Mejía and Jocelyn Díaz de Valladares, were linked to an extortion case in which they demanded up to $50 a fortnight from a business in exchange for not attacking the lives of the owner and his family.

Finally, this operation allowed the resolution of several fraud cases in which the defendants used social media platforms to promote jewelry, cell phones, and household appliances.
