Lebanon’s “Hezbollah” Shia movement launched artillery strikes on Israeli army positions on Israel’s border with Lebanon.

“In support of our long-suffering Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip… Islamic Resistance Al-Malikiyya after observing extensive reconnaissance and operations of Israeli enemy forces along the border (An abandoned Palestinian village on the border with Lebanon) in its position, it fired accurate artillery strikes at their soldiers,” the statement said.

The situation on the Israel-Lebanon border worsened after Israel started military operations in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. The Israeli army and “Hezbollah” fire each other’s positions in the border areas every day.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a result of Israel’s fire, about 100,000 people were forced to leave their homes in the south of Lebanon. The Israeli side reported about 80,000 residents facing a similar situation in the north of Israel.
