They did not like each other as athletic colleagues, the animosity obviously persists even in sports retirement. Former hurdlers Zuzana Hejnová (37) and Denisa Helceletová (37) are still at each other’s throats!
What was it about? In the role of co-commentator, Helceletová revived the telecasts from the athletics EC. “Denisa is also a winner for me, another hit after Voras,” cheered on Facebook Michal Dusík, editor-in-chief of the ČT sports editorial office. In no time, however, a disapproving reaction from Hejnová arrived! “Unfortunately, it is very, very far from Jakub Voráček…” she wrote, saying that the popular hockey pundit was in a different league.
An innocent dig? The fans are clear: Hate beyond the grave! Helcelet tried to calm the situation. “Yes, I totally agree with you on that,” she texted her ex-partner conciliatoryly, repeating that she still had a lot to learn. But Dana Jandová, Hejnová’s ex-trainer, also joined the discussion. “It’s far from professional, unlistenable to me,” she became a TV expert. She already called her words a personal attack.
Quick girls
Zuzka and Denča never had much to do with each other. In the once popular Rychlý training group, the girls got along at first, although the attractive Rošťany Helceletová (then still Rosolová) attracted most of the attention. They joked, won joint medals in relay races.
The problem arose when Denisa moved from the smooth quarter to the hurdles. The pair were rivals, Hejnová started making waves and left the group after the Olympics in London. “It stopped working, they became rivals even in training. Unfortunately, Zuzka has it set up in such a way that it does not help her rivals,” coach Blažková said sadly. It seems that Hejnová is also bothered by Helceletová as a commentator…
