Heavy rain on the night of August 22 caused many streets in Hanoi such as Lang, Tran Duy Hung, Chua Lang, Nguyen Tuan, Nguyen Trai… to be deeply flooded.

At 11:30 p.m., Nguyen Trai Street (in the direction of Thanh Xuan District to Hanoi), the section in front of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was flooded about 50cm deep.

At 10pm, many places in Hanoi were pouring rain. According to the Vrain application (a specialized rain measuring system), the heaviest rainfall on the night of August 22 was recorded in Mai Dinh commune (Soc Son district) at 86.2mm; Lien Mac ward (Bac Tu Liem district) at 66.8mm; Vong Xuyen commune (Phuc Tho district) at 59.6mm; other locations exceeded 40mm.
