According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, it is raining in many parts of the country including Dhaka. Several areas of the capital, including Panthpath, Paltan, Mirpur, Motijheel, have been experiencing drizzle since Thursday (February 22) afternoon. Besides, it is known to have rained in many places outside Dhaka. The Meteorological Department said that this rain may continue for the next three days i.e. Saturday (February 24).

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of the country was 23 mm in Hatia. Apart from this, 15 mm of rain was recorded in Barisal, 7 in Chandpur, 3 in Bhola and Rajarhat, 1 in Feni, Srimangal, Dimla and Madaripur, 2 mm in Rangpur, Jessore, Chuadanga and Dinajpur. Apart from this, Dhaka, Gopalganj, Syedpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet have received little rain, according to the Meteorological Office.
According to the Meteorological Department, the extension of western low pressure is staying over West Bengal and surrounding areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal.

Night temperature in Chittagong Division may increase (1-2 Celsius). Besides, it may decrease slightly in other parts of the country.
According to Friday’s forecast, two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Besides, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country.
