The very high temperatures and lack of electricity caused some private educational institutions to suspend, at least for today, classes in Tucumán.
For example, the Swiss school warned parents about the cancellation of educational activities with a statement: “Due to the high temperatures recorded in the province and in light of the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Education, the scheduled electricity cuts and “its influence on drinking water, the authorities decide to suspend classes today, Thursday.”
The same measure was taken at Santa Rosa school. “Due to the very high temperatures that we are having in the province, at this time our central headquarters does not have electricity in sectors of the building. Preventively, we see the convenience of not having activity in the afternoon shift today, thus prioritizing the health of students and teachers. We count on your understanding and we apologize for the inconvenience caused,” was the message that the parents of the students received.
According to LA GACETA, similar decisions were also made yesterday by the authorities of other schools and colleges in the capital of Tucumán.
