Prosecutor Nelson Colmán, from the town of San Caros, Alto Paraguay, reported that a 6-year-old boy had been abandoned by his parents, and clarified that it was not the Argentine boy Loan.
On 1330 AM, Colmán explained that the case became known through a woman who sheltered the two adults and the child who apparently arrived from Concepción. They told her that they were looking for work and if they could leave her there for a few hours, but they did not return.
The report was given in the town of San Carlos in the Paraguayan Chaco and apparently the child stayed at the complainant’s home since Monday afternoon, while his parents went to a job interview. “The boy came with his parents from Concepción and they left him at a woman’s house,” said the prosecutor.
“At dawn, the woman noticed that the parents had not returned, so she went to the police station to file a complaint. The prosecutor’s delegation met at the police station, where the child was,” he explained.
He added that “I want to clarify that this is not about the Loan child. At one point she had misrepresented herself and it was thought that it was him, but it is not the child.”
At the time of making the complaint, the person took the child to the local police station, from where they notified the Public Ministry. Communication was immediately given to the Children’s Ombudsman and the Court for Children and Adolescents of San Carlos so that they can intervene in the case.
