He was a “meat” and turned into a super handsome guy. Bartosz Waga has played alongside world-class stars

27 years old, 187 centimeters tall, charming smile, beautifully sculpted body… In candidate number 6 fighting for the title of Mister Poland in 2015, few people recognized the graduate of the acting department of the Krakow theater school and l The actor who played the role of Konrad from the series “Majka” and Captain Kupsiewicz from “Time of Honor”, Bartosz Waga.

“For an actor, gaining experience is particularly important. Furthermore, it is an unusual adventure. I decided to participate in the competition and have fun” – this is how Bartek explained his decision to run for the Mister Polonia elections in an interview with “Plejada “.

At the time when the eliminations for the handsome men contest were taking place, Bartosz Waga could be seen in several series (including “M jak miłość” and “Colors of Happiness”) and on the stage of the Warsaw Drama Theater. The actor has not hidden the fact that he would like to win and take the title of Mister.

Bartek had been preparing to participate in the plebiscite for many months. He owes his transformation from “meatball”, as he wrote about himself on social media, to the macho he has become, to his “new lifestyle”.

“In one of the episodes of “The Colors of Happiness” I did a naked scene with Gosia Buczkowska and when I saw myself without a shirt – and I was portrayed as a lover – I thought that I was very far from this title. Then I thought, I decided it had to be first class and I’m not a fan of the belly. I went on a diet and started exercising. Day after day there is a great line and we are starting something new,” he recalled in a interview for “Życie Muzyki Pasji”.

Libra admits to eating like a monk and spending hours in the gym. It turned out that he … he went too far.

“I was in super shape and everyone said I was too muscular and that it was impossible to get into such shape without some chemicals. That’s why I didn’t win,” he said in an interview with blogger Marekos.

Bartosz Waga was still a middle school student when he decided to become an actor. He jokes today that although his mother encouraged him to choose a “normal” profession, he didn’t have a plan B. He insisted on entering theater school.

“I applied to two schools: in Krakow and in Warsaw. In Krakow I succeeded the first time,” boasts the author of the blog “Życie Muzyka Pasja”.

Bartek remembers perfectly the title of his master’s thesis, dedicated to one of his favorite Hollywood actors, Jim Carrey. It read: “The face behind the mask, or the ambiguous career of Jim Carrey.” He got an A-plus.

In 2016, after participating in the Mister Polonia competition, Bartłomiej Waga starred alongside… Jim Carrey in the film “Dark Crimes”. After filming, he asked the star to autograph a copy of his diploma thesis, even though the production categorically prohibited the Polish actors from having any direct contact with Jim.

“Then it turned out that I had violated the terms of the contract. But he was the one who approached me to thank me for the shared scene. I fulfilled my dream, so it was worth it, but I was also a little sad that I got hit in the head for it,” he told Marekos.

Work on himself, thanks to which he underwent an incredible metamorphosis, paid off for Bartek. After 2015, that is, since he presented his “new self” to the world, he practically does not leave the set. He stars in the most popular Polish series and also appears on the big screen. However, he is still waiting for the role of his life, but he believes he will get it.

“Dreams come true. You just really need to want it,” he wrote on social media.

We can currently see him in the series “48h. Zaginieni” broadcast on Polsat 2.
