A 31-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning when he had just committed a robbery at the home of a retiree, in Aguilares.

To advance the investigation, the prosecutor’s office requested the preventive detention of the accused for a period of 30 days. “We have to take into account the characteristics of this incident, where the accused entered the house of a vulnerable victim, since we are talking about an older woman who lives alone. We ask that the accused be deprived of his liberty because he is a subject who has a history of this type of crime and who recently received a sentence,” argued the MPF representative while indicating that several measures remain to be carried out, such as a round-up. recognition and analysis of security cameras (there are three in the area).
For her part, the victim asked to speak and expressed her fear about what happened. “We have been suffering from this type of situation in the neighborhood for a long time and this man is a threat because he is always entering houses,” said the woman.
In his resolution, the intervening judge granted the prosecutor’s request and ordered that the accused be transferred to the penitentiary service while the case progresses.
