‘Security is needed at FDC, but not so much. Administration is more than voters. There is no need for so much administration. The election of the artist association is a meeting. Two years in a row, the artists celebrated the election day. But coming to FDC, what do I see? There are no terrorists here, why will there be so much administration?’ Actor Hasan Jahangir, a member of Shilpi Samiti, expressed his anger.

Bi-annual (2024-26) elections of Bangladesh Film Artists Association are going on at BFDC premises. A large number of law enforcement personnel have been deployed throughout the FDC to maintain the electoral environment and ensure smooth polling.

From the main gate of FDC, members of various intelligence agencies of the government can be seen present in different parts of FDC, including about two and a half policemen. Anger has been seen among the common artists. But some see this as a positive.
