Phone owners say they are facing overheating issues with the new models introduced by Apple, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple’s flagship phones reportedly reach temperatures of up to 47 degrees Celsius, and some users claim that the handsets get so hot that it’s hard to even touch them without using a phone cover.
Ian Zilbo, a reporter for the American website ‘Nine to Five Mac’, which reports on Apple products, wrote on X (formerly Twitter): ‘My iPhone 15 Pro Max is too hot to touch during fast charging. ‘
He said: ‘I thought people were exaggerating but no, it’s not good. The interesting thing is that if I hold it, the left side rail and a bit of the back left side are by far the hottest which is exactly flush with the motherboard.’
Apple first introduced fast charging with the iPhone 8 in 2017, allowing users to charge the battery up to 50 percent in about 30 minutes.
Along with introducing the iPhone 15 range of phones this month, Apple has also replaced its proprietary charging cables with standard USB ‘C’ chargers to meet new EU rules.
Ian Zilbo said the problem was at its peak when his iPhone was charging rapidly from 25 percent battery level to 60 percent.

He said: ‘After the battery was over 70% charged, it (the phone) seemed to cool down quite a bit (but it was still warm but you could comfortably hold it in your hand).
The Independent has contacted Apple for comment.
Other iPhone 15 users report that the phone felt excessively hot while playing games or scrolling through apps.
Technology publication Android Authority reported that the issue occurs ‘during long usage sessions’, switching between chat apps and social media videos.
Aamir Siddiqui of Android Authority says, ‘The phone gets hot in the lower right-hand area of the camera. It’s gaming and charging without plugging in and is on Wi-Fi so it’s heat is indescribable.’
Experiments conducted by Korean YouTube channel BullsLab revealed that the temperature of the iPhone 15 reached 46.7 Celsius during gaming.
News of the iPhone 15 overheating issue comes after similar concerns were raised about the 2020 iPhone 12 model, which French regulators claim exposed harmful levels of radiation. There is an emission.
France banned the sale of iPhone 12 handsets earlier this month, forcing Apple to issue a software update in an attempt to mitigate the problem.
The radiation warning was based on experiments carried out by France’s National Frequency Agency (ANFR), but regulators in other European countries have also signaled their intention to follow the French regulator’s move.
