Hanoi decided to add more than 1,500 quotas for grade 10 for high schools, vocational education centers – continuing education for the 2024 – 2025 school year.

According to the decision of Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong, 10 educational institutions and 3 vocational education – continuing education centers will be added a total of 34 classes with nearly 1,500 students.

Of which, Ly Thai To High School increased 5 classes with 225 students. MAY High School (formerly Phuong Nam), Bao Long Martial Arts, Phan Boi Chau, Viet Hoang, each school increased 3 classes.

Hoa Binh High Schools La Trobe, Lam Hong, Le Thanh Tong each added 2 classes. Phung Khac Khoan High School (Dong Da) and Tran Quoc Tuan High School added 1 class.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also added 380 10th grade enrollment quotas for 3 vocational education and continuing education centers.

The Department’s assignment of more than 1,500 additional enrollment quotas for grade 10 is based on the facilities and teaching staff of the schools. Notably, the additional quota for Bao Long Martial Arts High School helps relieve the worries of many parents in enrollment area No. 5 (including Long Bien district and Gia Lam district) when this area does not have many private schools.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires school principals and directors of vocational education and continuing education centers to be responsible for organizing enrollment according to assigned targets, in accordance with enrollment regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place on June 8-9, with more than 105,000 candidates. On June 29, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the scores to candidates.

According to the plan, from July 12-15, public schools (specialized and non-specialized) will confirm direct admission and receive admission applications based on standard scores (if any). During this time, private schools, autonomous public schools, vocational education and continuing education centers will confirm direct admission and receive additional admission applications (if any).

No later than July 25, the Department of Education and Training will receive the results of the review from the Department and return to the students the Admission Results Notification Form after the review (if any). From July 25-27, schools will process the student records after the review (if any).

On July 29, schools confirm direct admission and receive applications from students admitted after review (if any).
