Hamas does not want the fire termination agreement to fail, said the radical Palestinian organization, Reuters reported.
Hamas agreed in the agreement to release three more hostages on Saturday, but earlier this week he said it was suspending the hostage to the hostages, as according to the Palestinian group Israel violated the terms of the agreement.
US President Donald Trump responded to this, saying that all hostages should be released by noon on Saturday or “real hell” will come. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would resume “intense fighting” if Hamas failed to fulfill the necessary until the deadline.
“We are not interested in the failure of the fire termination agreement in the Gaza Strip, we are interested in its implementation and guarantee that the occupiers (Israel) adhere to it completely,” said Hamas spokeswoman Abdel-Latiph Al Cano.
“The language of the threats used by Trump and Netanyahu does not serve to implement the fire termination agreement,” Cangua said.
A Hamas delegation, led by Gaza Group Head Khalil Al Haya, met with Egyptian security staff yesterday to try to get out of the dead street. A Palestinian employee close to the negotiations told Reuters that Mediators Egypt and Qatar are trying to find a solution to prevent fighting.
Reuters has informed that Israel has convened military reservists to prepare for a possible resumption of the Gaza war if Hamas did not release Israeli hostages until Saturday.
