Half a Million Vehicles Leave Jabotabek on H-7 to H-5 of Eid

JAKARTA – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) recorded that as many as 551,876 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on H-7 to H-5 of Eid which falls on April 3-5 2024. This figure is the cumulative traffic from four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction to Merak), GT Ciawi (direction to Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama (direction to Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction to Bandung).

The total volume of traffic (traffic) leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 33.17% compared to normal traffic of around 414,410 vehicles. When compared with the Eid 2023 period, the total traffic volume is 11.70% higher from 494,091 vehicles.

The distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek headed in three directions, the majority of 302,951 vehicles (54.89%) headed east (Trans Java and Bandung), followed by 150,793 vehicles (27.32%) headed west (Merak), and 98,132 vehicles ( 17.78%) towards the South (Puncak).

In detail, vehicles heading east towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 206,057 vehicles, an increase of 156.21% from normal traffic. Meanwhile, vehicles heading towards Bandung GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 96,894 vehicles, increased by 5.57% from normal traffic.

Total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs was 302,951 vehicles, an increase of 75.92% from normal traffic. Meanwhile, vehicles heading west or leaving Jabotabek via GT Cikupa on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road were 150,793 vehicles, an increase of 6.95% from normal traffic.

Vehicles heading south or to the top leaving Jabotabek via GT Ciawi on the Jagorawi Toll Road were 98,132 vehicles, 3.04% lower than normal traffic.

Regarding current traffic conditions, Marketing & Communication Department Head of Jasa Marga Faiza Riani appealed to road users to ensure their readiness before traveling. Apart from ensuring sufficient electronic money and fuel balances, it is also hoped that the condition of the vehicle and its driver will be in optimal condition.

“Obey the signs and directions of officers in the field and always be disciplined in the regulations for driving on toll roads. Use your time wisely by not lingering in the rest area,” he said in an official statement, Saturday (6/4/2024).
