Efforts are being coordinated to support the provinces of Cusco affected by the earthquake
Gustavo Adrianzén, president of the Minister councilhighlighted the joint collaboration between the Executive and the Congress of the republic to address the most pressing needs of the population.
“I express my gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament, Alejandro Soto, for inviting us to this meeting with authorities from Quispicanchi and Cotabambaswhich ratifies the splendid ties that exist between the Legislative and the Executive,” mentioned the leader of the Ministerial Cabinet.
The boss of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) announced that, in the company of the president of the Congressheld a meeting with the mayor of the province of Quispicanchi, in Cusco, and local authorities in the area. The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate measures in response to the impact of the earthquakes caused by the activation of a geological fault.
“It has been decided to include in the agenda of the Council of Ministers, of this May 8 [hoy] the supreme decree that will declare a state of emergency in the town, which will strengthen the first support response given by Indeci [Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil] to the affected families,” Gustavo Adrianzén communicated.
The meeting, held in the office of the president of the Legislative poweralso had the participation of the mayors of the provinces of Cotabambas and Quispicanchi, as well as the mayors of the districts of Chalhuahuacho, Mara and Coyllurquibelonging to the mining corridor.
