“Qarabag” will host “Hakken” tomorrow in Baku as part of the last round of the European League group stage.
Publika.az reports that the head coach of the Agdam team, Gurban Gurbanov, answered the journalists’ questions at the press conference held before the match:
– We are playing our last game in Europe this year. It is a very important match for us. My players are almost ready. They are very well prepared. We can see from some of the opponent’s interviews that they take the game very seriously. They don’t want to leave the group without points. We must take into account that we will have a very willing opponent. I believe that my players will be fully ready for the game both psychologically and tactically. I believe in my players. We will give more detailed information to our players before the game and we will work on some details that we have not fully worked out today and tomorrow.
– There will be no Kevin Medina tomorrow. How worried are you about his absence in such an important game? How is Veshovic, is he ready for the game?
– I would very much like everyone to participate in this game, everyone to be healthy. Including Medina. If we have a chance to be in the second place in the group, the players all deserve it. Unfortunately, Medina will not be in Baku either. He was operated on yesterday. I had a video talk with him. He really wanted to be in Baku. He said feel that I am with you. He is one of our key players. We would like him to be on the field. But we don’t have to think about that today. We have to think only about the game. If we have a problem, we should think about how to solve it. I believe other players will be able to do it. We have seen many times that 2-3 of our main players were not able to play, but others managed to protect them very correctly and skillfully. We hope to return to Medina soon. God willing, he will soon be with his friends and team. Other players will try not to make the absence felt. As for Marko Vesovic, his situation is normal. I talk to my players, there is a lot of desire. To all fans, to you, to the football community as well. These are my concerns. It’s not a requirement, it’s a request. Which is what is asked of football players. We have to be very cool. We should try to make our mistakes less. We have to think about how we prepare against the opponent, what kind of attacks we have to build. The players have to do it. We have a chance to use it. We will try to do it with correct, error-free play on the field. We always want to maintain minimum results and move forward whenever possible. We are working on it. The players must work tomorrow to play their most experienced and correct game. I am sure they will do it.
