Guatemalan musician Orlando Galindo

Morales, Izabal, is in a state of shock and dismay after the murder of Orlando Galindo, a young man dedicated to teaching sign language through the popular TikTok platform. Galindo, who suffered from a hearing disability, was widely known and loved in the virtual community, where he had more than 340 thousand followers.

The tragic event occurred this Wednesday, February 21, 2024, when unknown armed individuals entered a boutique, allegedly owned by their mother, and opened fire mercilessly. The attack left Orlando Galindo lifeless, just days after celebrating his 26th birthday, as evidenced in his last video published on TikTok.

Orlando Galindo’s mother in serious condition

In addition to the impact caused by Galindo’s death, the tragedy deepens with the critical state of health of his mother, identified as Karla Verónica Rodas Cordero, who was also seriously injured in the same attack.
