Guatemala interoceanic corridor launches tokenization in El Salvador

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) delivered the renewal of the ELIO RODRÍGUEZ MINI STADIUM, located in the Jardines de San Marcos sports center, in San Salvador Sur. The work, headed by the head of the portfolio, Romeo Rodríguez, seeks to benefit children, youth and adults from different communities through a modern, safe and multifunctional space.

The improvement project included the leveling of the court base, the installation of the latest synthetic grass, improvements in dressing rooms and bathrooms, general paint and the repair of the lighting system, with functional capacity both day and night.

“Several works and works were done; there are things around that they will continue to work. You have to continue bringing works to San Marcos and carrying out projects,” said the minister during the delivery.

The Removado Mini Stadium will directly benefit the Jardines de San Marcos 1 and 2, Colonia Red Cross #4, Santorini and San Antonio #4. The intervened area covers more than 4,200 square meters.

In addition to football use, space will also be used for activities such as aerobics, volleyball, basketball, fencing, as well as schools and community committees, thanks to the inclusion of a multi -purpose room.

Rodríguez announced that similar projects will be delivered soon in La Unión, San Miguel, Santa Ana and Usulután. “We know that these spaces are necessary for the recreation of children and young people,” he added.

Finally, the official stressed that these types of works are possible thanks to the security climate that, he said, has significantly improved in the country. “Last year we had already advanced in security, we managed to be the safest country of the western hemisphere, but this year it is even safer,” he said.
