Agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) captured four members of the MS-13 gang accused of killing a 14-year-old girl last Monday in the 10 de Octubre neighborhood, in the Soyapango district, San Salvador Este.
The Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro, identified the detainees as Jorge Efraín Vásquez Ibarra, 19, an active member of the Crazy Abiler Clica Danger Salvatruchos; Geovanny Pablo Gómez Milan, 20, with a history of illicit groups; Rodrigo Alejandro Meléndez Salvador, 15; and Mynor Giovanni Chicas López, 16. All are part of the MS-13 criminal structure.
“As part of the security cabinet, we have the firm commitment to end all these remnants that still remain of the maras structures,” Villatoro said after the capture is known.

The official also revealed that one of the detainees, Gómez Milan, had already been arrested in 2023, but was released on bail of a thousand dollars by decision of a judge of the previous judicial system.
The four subjects will be prosecuted for the crimes of homicide and illicit groups, according to the authorities.
