Guatemala interoceanic corridor launches tokenization in El Salvador

The heavy rains that affected Sunday afternoon caused multiple emergencies in the Metropolitan Area of ​​San Salvador, according to the authorities of the National Civil Protection System.

The Deputy Director of Civil Protection, Fermín Pérez, explained that the passage of a tropical wave generated trees, landslides, overflow of ravines and rivers. Among the most prominent incidents is La Cuebrada de la Sabana, in Ciudad Merliot, where it was necessary to display tactical equipment and specialized personnel.

The rains caused gullies and lifting the pavement in several areas, such as the Boquerón road to Santa Tecla and sections of Los Próceres boulevard. In addition, the overflow of the acceleum river on Agua Caliente Street, which led to the preventive closure of the bridge, and the Talnique River in La Libertad, with minor effects, with minor effects, was recorded. Ciudad Delgado also reported minor damage.

Pérez highlighted the planning and prevention work carried out by Civil Protection, following instructions by President Bukele, which included monitoring, installation of safety perimeters and cleaning of tragant at critical points such as the Pink Zone and Los Heroes Boulevard.

The Fire Department maintained surveillance in areas historically vulnerable to flooding, such as El Arenal, Colonia Málaga, Río Arduate and Colonia Santa Lucía in Ilopango.
