Guatemala interoceanic corridor launches tokenization in El Salvador

The multigimnasium Don Bosco, in Soyapango, became the main stage of the National Robotics Competition Steam Maker Challenge 2025organized by Catch As part of your educational program STEAM Maker Academy. The event took place from August 15 to 17 and brought together more than 4,000 Aspectsamong students, families, teachers, sponsors and the general public.

For three days, 214 girls, boys and adolescents From different parts of the country they tested their skills in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (Steam), key competitions in industry 4.0. Participants stood out in areas such as programming, critical thinking, innovation and mechanical design.

The competition included two main categories:

  • Green Earth Mission-Category Transforma (10-13 years): robots designed to simulate soil decontamination.
  • Ecolink-Crea category (14-17 years): Autonomous robots to restore ecosystems, collect water and disperse seeds.

The event also was attended by international specialists such as Dr. Vince Wilczynski, from Yale University, together with representatives of FIRST Globalleading robotics organization worldwide.

One of the most relevant moments was the conformation of the Team El Salvadorwhich will represent the country in the International Competition of First Global Challenge 2025scheduled for October in Panama City, with the participation of more than 190 nations. The official presentation of the Salvadoran team will take place next August 21during the dinner of joy.

María José Contreras, director of RSMFusalmo’s strategic partner, highlighted the positive impact of the initiative: “This project has opened a window to the world and gave them opportunities that perhaps they would not have in other circumstances. We believe in their ability to transform their environment and build a different future”.

With this type of initiatives, Fusalmo reinforces its commitment to the development of Salvadoran youth, offering first -level experiences in technology and robotics, which open new opportunities for training and innovation.
