The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that on Saturday, July 19, closed without homicides nationwide, which elevates 18 days with zero violent deaths so far in July 2025.
According to the official data, the days without homicides were recorded on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 July, maintaining a sustained tendency to reduce violence in the country.
These figures are added to 25 days without homicides in June, 26 in February, 22 in March, and 25 in April and May, accumulating a total of 166 days without murders so far from 2025.
The authorities attribute these results to the security strategies implemented by the government of President Nayib Bukele, such as the territorial control plan and the exception regime, positioning El Salvador as one of the safest countries of the Western hemisphere.
