Guatemala interoceanic corridor launches tokenization in El Salvador

44 Volunteer PBS collaborators will accompany young university students of the Opportunities program in a new cycle of professional and human development.

With the commitment to continue promoting real opportunities for Salvadoran Youth, PBS El Salvador, in alliance with the Gloria de Kriete Foundation, began the third edition of the PBS Mentoring program, an initiative that connects voluntary collaborators of the company with university students of the Opportunities program, to provide professional guidance, accompaniment
human and contact networks in the work world.

In an event loaded with enthusiasm, purpose and emotion, the 44 mentors and 44 minds that will participate in this new cycle were officially presented. With each new edition, the program not only expands its scope, but reaffirms its impact. To date, 34 young people who participated in previous editions are already working: 21 in fixed squares and 13 in remunerated internships, in sectors such as technology, plastic industry, retail,
Media, financial services, universities and social organizations, also including places within the PBS team itself.

“Mentoria is an act of professional generosity, but also of deep social commitment. We are proud to see how this program transforms lives, not only of minds, but also of our collaborators, who find in these experiences a renewed sense of purpose,” said Mirian Alas, general manager of PBS El Salvador.

During the launch day, participants shared their first conversations in a networking space designed to build bonds of trust, establish objectives and begin a relationship marked by respect, listening and collaboration.

When it comes from contexts in which opportunities seem limited, having someone who believes in you, who listens, guides and challenge with empathy can make a deep difference. The mentoring allows to discover talents that many times does not even recognize, open specific work doors as an internship, and, above all, build the necessary trust to visualize a possible and attainable professional future.

The initiative is developed within the framework of PBS’s commitment to sustainability and education as a development engine. Through this program, young people receive mentoring in areas such as technology, engineering, accounting, sales, marketing and leadership, enhancing their abilities and expanding their horizons. In addition, as part of the integral accompaniment offered by the opportunities of the Gloria de Kriete Foundation, the participants also access training in employability, emotional accompaniment and vocational exploration. PBS contributes to this alliance through direct mentoring, provided by volunteer collaborators committed to the professional and human development of each young man.

PBS reaffirms its purpose of generating value beyond business, actively accompanying those who will be the protagonists of the future of El Salvador. This third edition of the mentoring program is another sample that, when the business sector is involved consciously and actively, real roads are opened towards growth, dignity and hope.
