Several gang members linked to the so-called La Raza structure were captured early this Tuesday in an operation by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in conjunction with the National Civil Police (PNC).
The terrorists commit crimes in Rosario de Mora, Panchimalco, Huizúcar, San Pedro Perulapán, Mejicanos and Ciudad Delgado, the authorities reported.
The public ministry detailed that they simultaneously appeared at the homes of criminals accused of illicit drug trafficking, threats, injuries, sexual assaults and other crimes.
According to the investigations, the criminals committed the crimes between 2024 and 2025. The report adds that in the raids cash, cell phones and other objects related to their criminal actions were seized.
On December 12, authorities dismantled a structure that sold drugs and planned to carry out homicides in San Salvador, Sonsonate and La Libertad. The accused are members of the Teclas Locos structure of the MS that for years committed crimes in the department of Libertad.
According to investigations, they distributed cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, mainly in places where intoxicating beverages are consumed or tolerance centers, as well as the direct delivery of drugs.
In the operation they arrested Carlos Daniel Gutiérrez; Álvaro Antonio Castro Valencia; Marvin Ricardo Pineda Alfaro; Balmore Alexander Rebollo Rivera; Bryan Edgardo Miranda Rivas and Elenilson Balmore Najarro Beltrán.
In addition to Franklin Arnoldo Martínez Martínez; Luis Fernando Castro; José Mario Vergara Valle; Jesús Alfredo Pérez Montes; Kevin Alexander Ventura Lara; Manuel de Jesús Cárcamo Orellana; Melvin Ulises Rivas Martínez and Jorge Alberto Martínez Salazar.
The searches were carried out in the district of Izalco, Sonsonate, and in San Antonio El Pajonal, Santa Ana, where 19 cell phones, different portions of drugs and other elements that will be useful to strengthen the investigations were seized.
All defendants will be prosecuted for: Illegal trafficking and proposition and conspiracy in crimes of aggravated homicide. And the crime of illicit groups could be added to them.
