he residents of the Concepción canton, in the district of El Carmen, department of Cuscatlán, are experiencing a new quality of life. The typical dust clouds on dirt streets during the summer have been left behind, thanks to the paving project promoted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele and executed by the Municipal Works Directorate.
Almost a kilometer of the main road in the Las Cruces sector in the Concepción canton has been renovated by placing a hydraulic concrete surface. This work has benefited 14,000 inhabitants of the area and surrounding sectors.
The transformation of the street in the Las Cruces sector required DOM crews to place 547.8 cubic meters of hydraulic concrete along the length and width of the road, thus guaranteeing greater resistance, quality and durability.

In addition to paving, the DOM carried out drainage works to protect the new street, including the construction of curbs, speed bumps, dissipative steps and two retaining walls.
With hydraulic concrete on the streets, residents will no longer suffer from acute respiratory infections, common in summer due to inhalation of dust. In addition, they will be able to enter and leave their location by vehicle without problems.
Farmers will also benefit from being able to harvest and market their crops in the city, thanks to the recovery of one of the main accesses to the district.
The DOM is not only working on the recovery of the main road in the Concepción canton, but is also improving urban and rural streets in the district of El Carmen as part of the National Patch Plan and the road improvement program of the President’s Government. Nayib Bukele.

In total, the DOM has recovered about 4,500 linear meters of road surface in the downtown area of El Carmen and on the parallel route that leads to the Pan-American Highway.
Finally, the DOM is carrying out a water project in El Carmen, drilling a drinking water well to meet the urgent needs of more than 3,000 inhabitants of the Candelaria canton.
These works show how the Government of President Nayib Bukele is transforming El Salvador and shows that, when you want, you can. Above all, he shows that money is enough when no one steals.
