Guarantee of Human Rights leads to reflection for everyone

José Rafael Unda, who spoke on the regional challenges in terms of Human Rights, within the framework of the Good Government Seminar, exalted that Drummond has a positive impact in this matter and is expressed in components such as Peace and Human Rights, Governance for the Development, Comprehensive Development and Environmental Development.

“In every way imaginable, Human Rights issues are very important for everyone and from every possible perspective, both to manage risk, to address cases where events have occurred, but also to contribute to the enforcement of rights. DD HH,” he said.

He clarified that there are no rights that are more important than others, they all have the same level, the rights to a trial are as important as the right to life, to freedom of expression, to health and education.

“The Drummond company must ensure respect for the rights of its workers, contractors, union members, among others; but it is up to the Colombian State to guarantee them to society in general.

He highlighted that there is a point about the security risk that Colombians run, the risk to the life and safety of everyone, including guides of human rights defenders, union members, businessmen and ordinary citizens. “Therefore, it is time to reflect among territorial entities, companies and the State to improve the security of all,” he said.

He reiterated that a specific circumstance that exists in today’s society is the risk of domestic violence, a problem that the company has detected during dialogue with the communities. “It is urgent to raise ideas, think and reflect on what is happening, in addition to knowing who to turn to if needed.”
