The Carmeners is a Chilean female trio of traditional jazz and guachaca swing in Spanish. Their repertoire corresponds to a work of adaptation and renewal of lyrics of some traditional jazz classics, as well as their own compositions with a current and Creole approach.
Kristel Nielsen, Natalia Ramírez and Bárbara Callejas have a long career in the national music scene, in which they have cultivated genres such as jazz, bossa nova, bolero, blues, ska jazz and neo swing.
This year Las Carmeners have performed at the Poderosx Florece Festival (Molina), at the Lebu Jazz Festival, on the TRAMUS Main Stage in GAM for 8M, at the 3rd Osorno Jazz Festival, at the 3rd Rengo Jazz Festival and at the Viña del Mar Jazz Festival.
The trio is currently preparing the release of “Primera cosecha!”, their long-awaited album, whose first single will be available on platforms from September 9th. The work brings together an exquisite selection of traditional jazz standards with the touch of humor that characterizes them. It will be a show suitable for all audiences, where they will be able to enjoy huachaca jazz, blues and bolero in the unmistakable style of The Carmeners.
