In the first game, Gregoria’s performance was quite impressive. The netting game played by the badminton athlete from Wonogiri, Central Java, managed to make it difficult for Ratchanok to return the shuttlecock.
This netting game strategy made Gregoria lead 8-6. But in the winning position, the 24-year-old badminton player lost concentration which allowed Ratchanok to win three consecutive points and turn the situation around to 9-8.
Not wanting to give up so easily. Gregoria then rose and finished the first interval with a one-point advantage (11-10). After the break, Ratchanok managed to turn things around to 15-14.
Ratchanok seems to be able to shoot Gregoria’s netting game. While Gregoria tries to change the variation of the game.
But Ratchanok was already confident. She managed to make Gregoria’s shot hit the net, so the Thai badminton player managed to win 18-15.
Instead of wanting to win the first game, Ratchanok had difficulty adding points. Gregoria was able to equalize the score to 19-19, 21-21 and 22-22, 23-23 and 25-23
At this critical point, Gregoria finally won the first game with a 25-23 victory. In the second game, Gregoria appeared much more aggressive. The attacking game managed to make Ratchanok exhausted. Although Jorji was initially behind, he managed to turn things around to 11-6.
After the break, Gregoria continued to add to her points to 14-6. The wind advantage allowed Jorji to freely release smashes, putting Ratchanok under pressure.
Jorji managed to lead by 11 points from Ratchanok. This advantage made Gregoria successfully finish the match with a score of 21-9.
