Göztepe Coach Stoilov: The camp was at a high level

Stanimir Stoilov, the head coach of Göztepe, one of the Super League teams that continues its new season preparations in Slovenia, said that they have worked very hard and the camp has been at a high level.

The Bulgarian coach made statements to the press members at the Slovenia camp. Stoilov, who reported that the camp was really good in terms of organization, noted that they were happy to be in Bled. Stoilov stated that the team tried to show everything on the field in the best way possible, both tactically and physically, in the first 3 friendly matches they played during the camp.

Stoilov, who stated that his players conveyed the ideas he had in mind during the camp to the field in the best way possible, said, “We tried to implement our ideas in terms of football on the field and at the same time we tried to advance them. The players tried to do their best, there were good things and things that were missing. We saw our situation in the matches. There were many positive things we implemented on the field and a great fight, there are also points we need to improve.”

“WE NEED TO BE BETTER”

Expressing that they are trying to adjust the tempo in the team, Stanimir Sloilov said:

“For example, we need to be better in terms of dynamism. Because now we will be competing at a higher level, not at the level we were at last year. We need to improve our dynamism, be better in terms of tactics and organization, and at the same time we need to be on the field with confidence. I think we will be much stronger if we improve in these areas.”

“WE WILL SEE EVERYTHING BETTER WHEN THE LEAGUE STARTS”

Noting that he has a group of players who work very hard, Stoilov said, “Of course, the league has not started yet, when the league starts we will see some facts better. Training is going very well at the moment. There is no problem. Everything looks good, but of course the league is something else. When the league starts we will see some things again.”

“WE ARE WAITING FOR NEW PLAYERS”

Stating that it is too early to say anything about the new names joining the team, Stoilov made the following statements:

“Our transfers need to show themselves on the field, it would be unrealistic to say anything about them. The new players first need to show themselves to both our fans and the community. They need to reflect this quality on the field. We brought them here because we really believe in them and think they will contribute to this team. Now it’s time for them to show themselves on the field. We are also expecting new players. We need transfers in some positions. We especially need two more players in the center forward position, and that will happen. Every team works on some positions to get stronger. We continue our work in the same way.”
