In the early hours of this Friday, a Chilean Air Force plane flew from Group 10, in Pudahuel, with 34 migrants who were expelled from the country after committing various crimes.
After taking off from Santiago, the FACh plane stopped at the Los Cóndores air base in Iquique, where 11 more people boarded and were also leaving the country.
Expulsions
In detail, the 45 people expelled from the country were directed to their countries of origin. The plane’s route includes Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Likewise, 23 of these expulsions correspond to judicial ones, as they are people who have a record of crimes such as illicit drug trafficking, robbery with violence, robbery with intimidation, receipt of motor vehicles, surprise robbery, robbery in an inhabited place, and carrying illegal weapon.
The Immigration Service (Sermig) stated that the other 22 people expelled respond to administrative orders for acts such as entry through unauthorized steps, manufacturing and trafficking of firearms, robbery with intimidation, crimes associated with Law 20,000, fraudulent use of cards and have an expired tourist permit.

The Government highlighted that so far this year, ten charter flights have been managed for the expulsion of foreigners who have not complied with the rules in our country. Together with this data, plus the other means of expulsion (land in two months) through Sermig and the PDI, 178 expulsions have been carried out: 97 administrative and 81 judicial.
The director of Immigration, Luis Thayer, pointed out that “the expulsions of people who have a record and have committed crimes is a priority for our service and is part of the security axis of the National Migration and Immigration Policy. “We are focused on improving immigration management along with applying the corresponding immigration sanctions to those who do not comply with the law in our country.”
