ASSUMPTION. The national government, through Itaipú Binacional, will carry out the delivery of a valuable batch of machinery and equipment destined for the 17 governorates of the country. This act is framed in the “Assistance in Strengthening Departmental Public Management” project. The value of this donation amounts to almost 19 million dollars, and will be made today at 09:30, in Hangar 2 of the Ñu Guazú Air Base of the Paraguayan Air Force.
Among the machinery to be supplied are: 15 Caterpillar motor graders, 49 John Deere agricultural tractors, 14 Manitou backhoes, 43 Iveco dump trucks, 2 Volvo excavators, 3 Case loaders and 49 Baldan rakes.
In addition, the provision of fuel for machinery by department is contemplated, for an initial value of US$50,000. The complement for each machinery includes training and training for 2 operators, provision of industrial protective equipment (PPE), preventive and predictive maintenance, 2-year insurance, 2-year or 4,000-hour warranty, transfer costs of ownership titles and after-sales services.
The vice president, Pedro Alliana, highlighted the hard work carried out together with the Council of Governors, which prioritized the needs of each department. In addition, he highlighted the impact that these machinery will have in the department of Ñeembucú, where the largest number of equipment operating in infrastructure works in the history of the department will be recorded.
