The Government condemned the murder of a 13-year-old boy that occurred early this Wednesday in La Florida.
The events occurred after 0:30 in the morning, on Volcán Punitaqui Street. A vehicle arrived at that place whose occupants shot at a house, where the victim was in his room.
One of the shots hit the boy’s shoulder, who was quickly transferred to SAPU Los Castaños, where he arrived lifeless.
In this regard, the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá said that the tragic death “is a reprehensible fact that the State will pursue with the full force of the law to punish those responsible.”
“The government will redouble its strategies to combat crime, supporting the work of the police, strengthening the Prosecutor’s Office, gun control and comprehensive intervention in the neighborhoods,” he added.
