The most talked about music reality show of the subcontinent is ‘Indian Idol’. It has just completed its 14th season. And the champion is young Vaibhav Gupta from Kanpur, India. He was declared the winner in the grand finale episode on Sunday (March 3) night.
Through this victory, Vaibhav got not only the Indian Idol title but also many other things. For example, he has been given 25 lakh rupees as prize money. Besides, this young man also got a luxury car.
Expressing the excitement of becoming the champion, Vaibhav said, ‘I am very happy and grateful. It seemed like a distant dream; So I kept hoping to become the champion with a heavy heart. The moment my name was announced, it was magical! My family is also very happy. Still can’t believe I won.’
This talented young man said that his family members have been the biggest support behind his music practice. So the award is dedicated to them.
What to do with the prize money? In response to such a question, Vaibhav said, ‘I want to build my dream studio with this money. Where I can create songs according to my heart and entertain the audience. You can’t wait to do the job!’

The show featured Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Kumar Shanu as judges. Hussain Kwajarwala conducted the entire event. Sonu Nigam was the special guest in the grand finale episode.
